This outstanding Day of the Dead activity book has a wonderful explanation of what El Dia de los Muertos is and why it is NOT just a "Mexican Halloween". There are page after page of detailed drawings of all the artifacts connected with The Day of the Dead. Your child/children can use them as flash cards to learn the vocabulary, as figures in a diorama of an altar, as paper bag puppets, marionettes and much more. There is a calavera (skull) mask, candles, a calendar for November, a put-it-together story book about a boy making an altar for his grandfather, a charro hat, papel picado and a map and flag of Mexico. Este libro de actividades fenomenal tiene una explicacion de lo que es El Dia de los Muertos y porque NO es solamente un "Halloween mexicano". Hay pagina tras pagina de dibujos detallados de los artefactos que son parte de la celebracion del Dia de los Muertos. Sus ninos los pueden usar para aprender el vocabulario especial del dia, para construir un altar, para hacer titeres y mucho mas. Hay una mascara de calavera, un calendario de noviembre, un libro de "hazlo tu" sobre un nino que hace un altar para su abuelito, un sombrero de charro, papel picado y un mapa y una bandera de Mexico. Muy completo y bien hecho. a sus ninos les va a encantar! Hay 3 paginas de direcciones e ideas para los padres/profesores (en ingles). Las direcciones para los ninos estan en ingles y espanol.
